The perfume and fashion house Hermes launched the unisex fragrance Le Jardin de Monsieur Li in 2015. The citrus fougere bouquet was designed by Jean-Claude Ellena. The perfumer drew inspiration from the calm and contemplative beauty of Chinese gardens. Therefore, the composition turned out to be so clean, calm and delicate in watercolor. Jean-Claude Ellen's penchant for minimalism was fully manifested in the perfume. Emphasized conciseness in the choice of ingredients gives the fragrance an elegant grace and wholeness. Ringing chords of kumquat with a slight bitterness perfectly invigorate, but their pressure subsides in the cozy embrace of jasmine. Delicate and quivering, it is harmoniously shaded with the green freshness of mint, creating a light and unobtrusive look.
